Daniel Cormier has all but confirmed that the trilogy against Stipe Miocic will be his last fight. Although the highly anticipated match-up hasn’t been officially announced, it seems set for UFC 252. DC and Stipe share an interesting past, With both fighters 1 win apiece against each other, the trilogy certainly has a lot at stake.
Daniel Cormier has one last fight left in him
“Some guy asked me today, he goes ‘you gonna keep fighting?’. I said no. I said I got one more fight. Cause here’s the deal, you fight these guys, they’re 28, 27, I think Israel Adesanya’s very young. Some of these guys are very young. I don’t have to fight a young guy.”

Despite DC’s ‘tender’ age, he has been a dominant figure in the heavyweight division for several years. From Stipe Miocic’s first-round KO to his legendary bouts with Jon Jones, Cormier has given us several memorable moments.
If the rematch was anything to go by, Cormier still stands a very strong chance. Cormier is an excellent counter-puncher and his ground game is unparalleled. He will certainly pose a threat to Miocic the third time around.
Speaking about the trilogy, Cormier said
“I know we’re in a crazy time right with the world and the way things are, and it’s very up in the air. But I think for me with the way things are going and the discussions we had heading into all this, the way that the discussions and the terms of the fight were going, man, where I am going to fight this guy, for my last fight, it’s going to be as ideal for me as I could’ve ever hoped for. It’s going to be beautiful.”
Although no official location has been confirmed, New Orleans seems to be the most likely given that it’s DC’s hometown. It’s sad to see a legend retire, but one thing is for certain- Daniel Cormier will always be one of the very best to step inside the octagon.
