The former Olympian has roped in his brother to help him prepare for his fight against the UFC heavyweight champion. Daniel Cormier trains at American Kickboxing Academy. The gym boasts of coaches who have brought results for their fighters. With the entry of his brother, the 41-year old Cormier is looking to bring in a new source of motivation for his last dance.
Having my brother be apart of this camp has been amazing. Sometimes you gotta go back to the basics to really find yourself and remember what makes you who you are. It has been amazing, but very difficult. Thank you @kmac120 #LFG 📸@i_AmTheBay pic.twitter.com/BPFjYC8s5k

DC has two brothers, one older and one younger than him. During his early days, Cormier didn’t like wrestling because his younger brother Ferral was succeeding and he wasn’t. It is not certain that it is his younger brother in the video that he posted on Twitter. However, there’s a high probability of the same.
What does the fight with Stipe Miocic mean for the legacy of Daniel Cormier
Daniel Cormier has a pretty solid resume for a combat athlete. He has represented his nation at the Olympics almost twice. At the 2004 Olympics, he finished fourth, narrowly missing out on an Olympic medal. With his transition to mixed martial arts, Cormier used his wrestling to ragdoll his opponents en route to several victories.

Cormier has held the heavyweight belt in Strikeforce along with being a two-division champ in the UFC. While he has managed to get past most of his competition pretty easily, two fighters have proven to be roadblocks for him – Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. It’s highly unlikely that DC ever looks to settle his score with Jones. Hence, the fight with Miocic makes all the more sense to DC.
Given the history of the past two fights between them, the trilogy is as good as it comes. Both the fighters have won either of the fights before in a convincing fashion. The knock against Cormier for being one of the greatest heavyweights of all time is that he only has two victories in the division in UFC. If he manages to get past Stipe once more, the claim for him to being on the Mt Rushmore of UFC heavyweights will get a boost.
