Former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier is willing to fight Francis Ngannou but only if Stipe Miocic cannot compete.
Last Saturday, Francis Ngannou obliterated Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds, making a strong case for a title shot. However, Daniel Cormier will likely get it first. During the post-fight press conference, Dana White (President of the UFC) said that once Stipe vs DC gets settled, Ngannou is next.

But it’s easier said than done. Stipe—who works as a firefighter-paramedic in Ohio—said that he would not be available to fight in August because of his obligations. Additionally, the state of Ohio has issued a stay-at-home order which forced all gyms to shut down.
Daniel Cormier will not back down from a fight with Francis Ngannou
There is absolutely no doubt that White is frustrated with his champion. So what’s next for the UFC’s heavyweight division? Well, Ngannou is free and Cormier too. We know for sure that the “Predator” is ready to go. Is DC up for it?
Yes! On the UFC 249 post-fight show, Cormier said:
“If Stipe won’t fight, then Francis Ngannou has earned a title fight,” Cormier said. “If somebody is fighting Francis Ngannou for the title, it’s going to be me. All respect in the world to Francis Ngannou, but I’m not afraid of anyone.”
Furthermore, Cormier referred to Francis as a “sweetheart.” He also said that if Stipe does not defend his strap, the UFC will strip him and book a fight between him and Ngannou.

“I’ll fight anybody on any planet. I love Francis, I think he’s a sweetheart person. I would love to do my trilogy with Stipe Miocic, but if Stipe won’t fight, they’re going to take his belt just like Henry (Cejudo) gave up his and they’re going to make a fight between Francis and I for the belt. It’s as simple as that.”

Although Cormier prefers the trilogy with Stipe, he will fight whoever the UFC puts In front of him.
“I would rather fight the trilogy fight with Stipe Miocic, I think that for everything we have meant to each other with me winning one and him winning one. That would be great for me. But if he doesn’t want to fight I want to fight my last fight. I want to fight whoever. And if it’s Francis Ngannou then I guess that’s who it’s going to be.”
