UFC veteran Daniel Cormier is renowned for his superior wrestling in the Octagon. Cormier’s ground game is second to none, and is considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Cormier won gold for representing America during the Pan American Championships in 2002 and 2003. However, irrespective of what Cormier has achieved in the field of wrestling, he still feels he’s an ‘awful’ wrestler. Cormier made this statement while responding to Gable Stevenson on Twitter.

Wrestler Gable Stevenson called out Daniel Cormier after rumors of a wrestling match between Ben Askren and Mark Hall started floating around. Despite talks of getting back into wrestling, a more likely outcome is Cormier entering the Octagon one last time.
Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic have been trading jabs on Twitter to set up the trilogy bout. Miocic was crowned the heavyweight champion, defeating Cormier in the rematch. However, Miocic is currently nursing an eye injury and with the current pandemic, a fight between the two might be delayed.
Despite nursing an eye injury and working as a first responder, Miocic has been called out for not accepting the fight.

“I want to fight DC”
Miocic explained his predicament on Twitter. “I want to fight DC. It’s going to happen period. I’m going to give my fans what they want to see. My management has been working on dates with UFC. Right now I’m doing what Governor DeWine is advising and am working as a first responder. I can’t control a global pandemic.”
With a trilogy bout in the works and a potential wrestling match as well for Daniel Cormier, we’ll have to wait and see what DC chooses to do next.
