While the Coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the world, UFC President Dana White is adamant about keeping his business running. Recently, White announced big news for fight fans around the world.

The past few weeks have been tough for the UFC. Three of their events had to be postponed because of the ban on sporting events and public gatherings. Speaking to Yahoo Sports, White revealed his future plans.

Despite all the chaos, the UFC is keen on saving the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson fight which was supposed to take place in New York. Although White said that the card will take place regardless of the pandemic, he prefers to keep the location a secret.

Dana White has some good news for fight fans

“The fights that were rescheduled, I need to knock them out, I need to squeeze them in somewhere, and yes, we will resume our regular schedule. They might be with no crowd, they might be somewhere else. I don’t know how this is going to play out over the next several months, but these fights will happen, and I will have them.”

According to Dana White, the fights which were canceled during the past few weeks will be rescheduled post-UFC 249. The promoter plans to resume the business in full swing after April 18. This might actually make the UFC more money than ever, as almost every other sporting event has been either canceled or postponed.

While experts have predicted a lengthy lockdown which could last for months, White is not willing to wait that long.
How long are we going to do this? How long are we going to stay in our houses and hide? If the Coronavirus is going to get me, then so be it. It is what it is. Heart disease, car accidents, cancer, the list goes on and on, all these things that kill people every year”

When asked whether the coaches, media, and UFC staffs will be tested for COVID-19, White replied:

“The less the media knows the better. Let me just put it to you this way: A lot of this hysteria has been driven by the media. The less the media knows, the better off it is.
