UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones has defended himself from his fans. Although Jones is one of the most talented fighters in the octagon, he is also one of the most polarising figures in the UFC.
In the past, “Bones” has failed numerous drug tests and even had multiple infractions with the law; aggravated DWI has been his latest one.
Even some of his recent wins are questioned by many. Critics and fans claim that Jon was wrongfully handed his last 2 wins against Thiago Santos and Dominick Reyes. No matter what Jones achieves, his legacy will always be marred by controversies.

Jon Jones defends himself
Recently, a Twitter user by the name of ‘My Opinions Don’t Matter’ posted a picture of Jones when he was inactive due to a suspension. The user captioned it, “Jon used to be childish Gambino before he became Bones 🦴😂.”
That’s me right before the OSP fight. That was the biggest I had ever been and actually my first fight fighting under USADA‘s guidelines. I was 240 pounds in that picture, right around the weight I’ll probably be when I win the heavyweight championship of the world. https://t.co/q84LPpzSMd

Jones swiftly responded by saying that it was him before the Ovince Saint Preux fight. And it was the heaviest he had ever weighed. Apart from that, Jones also revealed that carrying too much muscle on the body fatigues him.
Well I felt like I was fatiguing a lot faster but I also was suspended for almost 2 years and wasn’t training much MMA. https://t.co/frwFGf6VfX

When a user tried to hint that Jones used PEDs to cut down the weight, he was quickly shut down by the champion.
Lol You’re an idiot, there’s like five or six years between those two random pictures. https://t.co/9Z5Xf3w3bB

In the end, Jones closed the show with a slightly longer but a powerful tweet. The Albuquerque resident claimed that he works harder than most people. And that is how he has achieved incredible feats in his life.

Funny how everyone tries to ignore the fact that I was in USADA’s testing pool when I was at my absolute biggest (pre OSP). Just face it people, I work harder than a lot of you and do shit most of you can’t do. Or just not daring to do. Hard work baby.
