UFC veteran Daniel Cormier has advised Jorge Masvidal on matters regarding negotiation with the UFC. Masvidal has openly criticized the UFC over his contract situation.
Masvidal is not the only UFC fighter to call the promotion out over the past few weeks. Light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, was involved in a public spat with UFC President Dana White over his contractual situation.

“The reality is this, I want Jorge Masvidal to get his money, I do want him to get his money. All I’m saying is there’s just better ways to go about it. That’s all I’ve said for weeks.
“Go talk about it directly, deal with it, that’s how I would do it, that’s all I’m saying. Look, don’t listen to me, I’m only the guy that’s gotten every single opportunity that I have tried to get or asked for. I’ve gotten paid fairly, I’m just that guy,” said Cormier on DC and Helwani
‘Gamebred’ slammed the UFC after his fight with Kamaru Usman fell through. Masvidal revealed he was ‘forced’ to sign an extended contract at a cut-price.
The UFC is hopeful of reaching an agreement with Masvidal, despite the various public call-outs.
Daniel Cormier revealed he’s had several disagreements with the UFC as well. He mentioned he had several disagreements with Dana White before his fight against Rashad Evans.
Cormier had stormed out of the meeting during contract negotiations. However, the UFC came back with a revised offer and the fight was signed.
Cormier asks fighters to avoid making their contract negotiations public. Several fighters have criticized the UFC on social media, with several fans rallying behind them.

It’s yet to be seen when Masvidal will return to the octagon. He’s likely to make a return on a new contract.
