Following reports of Abdulmanap Nurmagomdeov’s hospitalization, Dana White recently took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to the Khabib Nurmagomedov and his family.

While the family has not yet come up with an official statement, many speculate that the trainer has been taken in for pneumonia.

As things stand now, a state-run media house has revealed that the 57-year-old trainer is in critical condition. Reportedly Khabib Nurmagomedov’s long time trainer is in a coma.

“Abdulmanap is in a bad condition, he’s in Moscow and in a coma. They didn’t treat him properly in Dagestan, and some complications arose. They flew him to Moscow, where he is now in a military hospital. He’s on his own there, they won’t allow family [to visit]” a source told Sport Express.

The concerned authorities decided to evacuate Abdulmanap out of his home country of Dagestan and move him to Moscow. As of now, the trainer remains in a military hospital in the Russian capital.

In addition, Islam Makhachev, Khabib’s long time friend confirmed these reports on a session of Instagram Live. The UFC lightweight said, “He is in Moscow, he is in critical condition.”

Following initial reports, the UFC President issued a message to the Khabib and his family over two posts on Twitter.

“Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov is a true martial artist who lives a life of pride, honor, and respect. He instilled those same values in his son, world champion Khabib, at an early age and was always in his corner throughout his career” said White.

“I know how close Khabib is with his father and I’m saddened to hear about his current state. My thoughts are with Abdulmanap and the Nurmagomedov family as he continues to fight” said Dana White in the following Tweet.

At first, Abdulmanap fell ill in April. However, a series of heart conditions led to his transfer to the Russian capital, early in May. According to reports, there have been no improvements to his condition as of now.
