UFC Fight Night: Montevideo was memorable for a host of different reasons, not the least of who was Brad Tate. He is a cut man for the UFC who was caught on tape reacting to an occurrence in hilarious fashion. Not to mention, the instance that took place in August 2019 still lives on as a memorable throwback.

While walking out for a scheduled Strawweight bout against Tecia Torres, Marina Rodriguez entered the cage in dramatic fashion. His coach Marcio Marko would go onto slap his fighters square on the face before the scrap. Moreover, it’s safe to assume that Cutman Brad Tate wasn’t well versed in this unique preparation style (via Spinnin Backfist).

UFC Montevideo: A look back

Brad Tate is a familiar face to hardcore MMA fans given his history and involvement in yet another viral moment. Former UFC Welterweight and TUF coach Josh Koscheck famously attacked Tate during the filming of the show. The iconic moment in TUF history occurred due to Tate insulting and instigating the coach.

This moment is arguably a standout during the history of the show’s run, given its bizarre nature. Additionally, MMA fans just couldn’t get enough of the fact that Brad Tate was involved in both the aforementioned viral moments. It is a remarkable feat to generate such hype in a season starring Georges St-Pierre.

Marina Rodriguez picked up the unanimous decision victory over Tecia Torres in a fairly one-sided performance. The 12-0-2 fighter has managed to curate an impressive catalog of victories which helps her stand out in the weight class.
