Jon Jones has been the center of attention for all the wrong reasons for quite some time now. Israel Adesanya calling him out on social media is an addition to this evergrowing list.

The MMA world was left disappointed after Jon Jones was arrested in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jones faced charges of aggravated DWI, negligent use of firearms, possession of an open container, and no proof of insurance in the vehicle.

However, the light heavyweight champion managed to avoid jail time by a hair and seems to be training under quarantine.

In the meantime, UFC Middleweight champion seems to have Jon Jones in his sights. The New Zealand- Nigerian fighter has built up quite a rivalry with Jones. Over the course of the past few months, social media has seen the two fighters going back and forth taking shots at one another.

Israel Adesanya recently took to Twitter to launch an attack on Bones, calling him out following his arrest. It is interesting to notice The Last Stylebender’s choice of words. Considering how Jones used the same line in an interview ahead of a fight with his all-time rival, Daniel Cormier.

Israel Adesanya Calling Out Jon Jones Not Something New

The verbal war between the two champions has been going on for a long time. And the two are just as excited about their fight as the fans.

Dana White revealed that if Israel Adesanya goes through Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa successfully, he will be looking to take on Jon Jones next.

“It does tickle my loins. It does make me feel some type of way. I like challenges. [Jones] is the GOAT right now, right? I’ve already killed one GOAT, I’m hunting the next.”- Israel Adesanya told TMZ

“If you think you killed 44 yr old Anderson, you didn’t. I’m not really sure what fight you’ve been watching. You got past the legendary GOAT, now come fuck with the King of the jungle. I’ll make you call me daddy by the third.”- Jon Jones on Twitter

Both Jones and Adesanya come from different weight classes, Light Heavyweight and Middleweight respectively. One of the fighters would have to adjust their weight for this highly anticipated battle.

However, following ESPN and Disney’s decree, the UFC has no events scheduled for now. It would be interesting to see if Adesanya can plow through Costa and take the next step to become the two-division champion.
