Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has been taking his shots and calling names in a very literal sense. “The Notorious” is enjoying retired life in ways only he can, and living it up comes naturally to the Irishman. Additionally, his legions of fans have seen a relaxed, fun side of McGregor. His social media would indicate that he hasn’t been spending any significant time in the gym training for a possible return.

Chiefly, the news of Conor’s retirement collectively took the MMA world by surprise, given its sudden nature. The news came following the events of UFC 250 and caught everyone off-guard. What’s more, he has expressed an interest to possibly fight three times in 2020. However, it seems as though retirement life is on the core agenda for McGregor.

Moreover, though he is focused on cutting loose and enjoying retirement, the MMA community has their qualms. The general fan consensus is that he will launch an emphatic return once the UFC is able to accommodate fans.

Additionally, this notion is bolstered by the fact that he remains active on Twitter and fires clear shots at fighters. Most recently, he caught the MMA world’s attention when he called out the Diaz Brothers following the news of Nick’s return.

Conor McGregor: Where does he go from here?

“The Notorious” has dabbled in several lucrative ventures over the past few years and gained much success in those realms. Right now, he is as much of an MMA fighter as he is a liquor baron. However, being the biggest star attraction means that Conor’s return to fighting is always on fans’ minds.

Possible opponents in Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz, and Khabib Nurmagomedov are all expected to be occupied throughout 2020. Conor McGregor will have his sights set on a mega-fight with one of the above fighters should he return. Fight fans will have to continue to speculate until the dust clears up amongst the top draws in the sport of MMA as it currently stands.

Do you think Conor will return anytime soon?
