UFC 251 was an eventful card. From brutal knockouts to fouls to bad judging, fans witnessed it all. The result of the co-main event, Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway 2, got on the nerves of many fans and athletes.

Max Holloway fought hard to reclaim his throne against the reigning champion, Alexander Volkanovski. Unlike the first bout, Holloway landed significant blows on Alexander early in the fight. “Blessed” even scored multiple knockdowns in the match.
The Hawaiian outstruck the champion in the first three rounds. However, “The Great” picked up the pace in the later rounds and won via a split decision.
So why are many people upset about the fight? Well, many critics believe that Holloway won the first three rounds decisively. But the judges felt otherwise. Two judges scored the fight 48-47 for Volkanovski whereas one judge scored the fight for Holloway.
Jorge Masvidal thinks Max Holloway won the fight
Masvidal (35-14), was competing on the same card as Holloway. In fact, he headlined the card with Kamaru Usman. “Gamebred” is known for speaking his mind. And he believes that Holloway defeated Volkanovski decisively.

Nevertheless, Max proved that he is a champion with or without the belt. Post-fight, Holloway announced that he will auction off his fight kit. And the money that is generated will be donated to Hawaii Food Bank.

“As you guys know, the unemployment rate in Hawaii is one of the highest in the nation. So I’m going to be auctioning off my fight kit with all of the proceeds going to the Hawaii Food Bank.
