Darren Till Denies to Fight Jorge Masvidal Under His Terms

The Coronavirus pandemic might have stopped fighters from competing in the cage. But it could not stop them from having a blast on social media. Recently, UFC welterweight, Jorge Masvidal revealed the only condition under which he would fight Darren Till again. Till’s response to Masvidal was hilarious.

Jorge Masvidal is a huge superstar in the UFC. Last year he had one of the best runs in the company. ‘Gamebred’ secured back to back wins over some of the best talents in the game. In his previous fight, he bullied Nate Diaz to claim the BMF title.

How did Masvidal become so big? Well, it all started with his knockout of Darren Till. Going into the fight, Till was coming off a loss against Tyron Woodley. The Liverpudlian was expected to make his comeback in his home country. But, Masvidal had other plans.

In just two rounds, Masvidal stopped Till in his tracks. Till suffered the first-ever knockout of his career. The road after this loss was not smooth either. He was involved in multiple incidents outside the octagon which earned him a bad reputation.

However, being a fierce competitor, Till made a successful comeback against Kelvin Gastelum at middleweight. Since then, he has not fought yet. The Scouser has called out many names, including the champion – Israel Adesanya.

It’s easy to think of Till as a ‘tough guy,’ but his actions speak otherwise. Till has been open about his feelings on numerous occasions. He has been vocal about his fear of getting knocked out again and fighting Yoel Romero. The latter is an exaggeration as he was trying to be funny.

Recently, Till had a hilarious run-in with Masvidal on Twitter.

When asked whether he would fight Till again, Masvidal simply said, “Only if Yoel Romero Corners me.”

Originally, Masvidal and Romero are from Cuba. Both men have been friends for a long time. Romero competes in the middleweight division where he is feared by many.

Till responded by saying, “I won’t do it then😭.”

Masvidal’s friend, Romero was quick enough to jump in and replied with a “Jajajaja”

As of now, Masvidal vs Till 2 is not possible. Apart from the Coronavirus pandemic, the two are in different weight classes. It is highly unlikely that Till will move back down to welterweight, as his frame is too big. Since Masvidal is a natural welterweight, packing on muscles will be difficult for him.
