Jorge Masvidal has waited long enough to get his hands on Kamaru Usman, and the feeling is mutual. The UFC Universe, too, is eagerly awaiting the BMF to clash with the Welterweight Champion, especially since their altercation at the Superbowl Radio event.
To add to the hopes of this fixture materializing, UFC Dana White stated a long time ago that the two would face each other whenever they fight next. But it seems like he has changed his mind.

In a recent interview, Bret Okamoto asked Dana about the timeline of Masvidal vs. Usman, as it was obvious that the fixture will definitely take place sometime or the other. However, Dana’s answer completely transformed the paradigm of the fixture’s future possibilities. He said,
“I don’t know [about the future of the Masvidal vs Usman fight]. We’re talking about a few different things. We have something else interesting for Masvidal too, that we were talking about yesterday. We’ll see. We’ll see how this thing plays out.”
“Something interesting”. That opens up quite a lot of portals for “Gamebred‘s” next appearance inside the octagon. And because of the stature that he has; what with the BMF title win against Nate Diaz, the 2-second-knockout against Ben Askren, and a great career; there’s going to be a lot of money riding on whatever he steps into.
But just what could Dana White mean by “something interesting”?
What other fixtures are possible for the next fight of Jorge Masvidal?
Jorge Masvidal has his fair share of sway in the Welterweight Division. Thus, it makes him a highly sought opponent because of the money involved in a fight with him. Moreover, he has his fair share of beef with people.
But if we look at the worst altercations he has, two names pop up. One, of course, is Kamaru Usman. The other is “Chaos” Colby Covington. The two have gone back and forth for a long time now. And the former teammates would like nothing more than getting the opportunity to settle things inside the Octagon.

Yet another possibility is a matchup with ‘The Notorious‘ Conor McGregor. The Irishman made his UFC comeback with an efficient win against “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone in January. He fought at Welterweight, and one of the predictions for his next fixture is a fight with Jorge Masvidal.
Who do you think Jorge Masvidal will fight next, if not Kamaru Usman?
