UFC heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane has been making strides in the heavyweight division. A former teammate to the Predator, Francis Ngannou, Gane feels that a fight against him is inevitable.
Especially if he gets the win against former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos this weekend. Gane is still extremely young in his professional MMA career. He is currently 6-0 as a professional. Three of those fights have been in the UFC.
Gane last fought back in December 2019 against Tanner Boser at UFC Fight Night 165 – Edgar vs. The Korean Zombie.

Ciryl Gane on Francis Ngannou
Gane will now face off against Dos Santos this weekend at UFC 256. He is looking to continue his win streak and make a statement against the former champion.
Speaking to The Bash MMA Gane explained, “I think now, the division, for me, if I win against Junior, it’s going to be really close in the top-10. You understand it. We can’t avoid it,”
The heavyweight contender continued, “It’s something that’s will happen anyway, we cannot avoid that fight, anyway. It is a sport, it is normal.”
Gane is currently ranked #14 in the UFC heavyweight division and will require a few more wins before he can challenge the likes of Francis Ngannou.

When asked about his relationship with The Predator and if they have met recently, Gane said, “No, because when I arrived at the gym, Francis had already left for Vegas.”
The two used to be training partners, but now with Ngannou spending most of his time in the United States, Gane believes the friendship is not as strong.
He continued, “I saw Francis a few times when he came back to Paris to prepare for a fight. So, no, I’m not close to Francis now.”
Gane is regarded as one of the top heavyweight prospects in the division. He will now face the toughest test of his career against Junior dos Santos at UFC 256.
