UFC veteran Mark Hunt is all-set to make his MMA return.
Mark Hunt—the King of walk-off KOs—plans to restart his MMA career. The New Zealand based fighter competed for nearly eight years in the UFC. However, things took an awful, and Mark found himself in a legal battle with the company. As of now, he does not think of returning to the company.

“I’ll make some money along the way and not have to worry about fighting against the company or the people you work for, just fighting in general.”
Hunt’s last three fights resulted in losses against top contenders in the heavyweight division. Yet he claims that he is the best fighter, even at 46 years of age. Hunt feels that he has more to offer to the sport, and is glad that he did not give his all to the UFC.
Furthermore, he compared the UFC fighters to modern-day gladiators, alluding to the low fighter pay in the company.

“The only good thing about the modern-day gladiator these days, which is how I think of myself, is that most of us get to go home. In the olden days, they’d die. It’s slave labor and these guys are fighting for nothing,” Hunt added. He then expressed his desire to continue fighting.
“Even though a lot of them were cheating, I felt at a good place because I was competing with the best fighters in the world and they were gassing themselves and I was still competing.”

Hunt fought Brock Lesnar at UFC 200. Although he lost the fight, Lesnar failed a USADA test which overturned the match to a no-contest. Likewise, Fans and pundits believe that Hunt competed against a ton of PED users during his days in Japan.
Surprisingly, it’s the same place Hunt wants to return to.

“I love Japan. Japan’s one of my favorite countries to compete in. I’ve always considered myself a Japanese born in a different place.” Hunt said. The ‘Super Samoan’ has competed for ten years in Japan and dreams of returning to that place.
