Dillian Whyte has been making bold claims about how he would fare against UFC Heavyweights. He has specifically targeted Francis Ngannou. However, the streaking UFC contender doesn’t even know who the WBC interim Heavyweight champ is.
Whyte has been teasing a crossover to MMA for the past few months. He even gave UFC President Dana White the liberty to hit him up any time. Whyte claimed that even he dons the 4 oz gloves, he can knock out anyone in the top 10 of the UFC heavyweight rankings.
UFC Heavyweight Francis Ngannou is on a terrorizing streak right now. He has secured his last four fights via a first-round knockout. His latest visit to the Octagon came at UFC 249. It only took him 20 seconds to hand the undefeated Jairzinho Rozenstruik the first defeat of his career.

Riding on a hot streak, Ngannou addressed Whyte, who called him a coward. The Brixton based fighter lashed out at the Cameroonian for not showing enough heart in his two losses against Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis.
“I know Anthony Joshua but Dillian Whyte? I only heard about him when people sent me articles about him. I didn’t know him before. Everyone says what they want. I don’t think anything about that. If he wants to fight MMA we will find out,” Ngannou told Sky Sports.

Francis Ngannou is willing to have a boxing match
Ngannou has often been puzzled with how the UFC works. Although Ngannou had suffered two consecutive defeats, he has recovered strongly from the setbacks. However, there is no certainty that he will fight for the title next. Probably because of all this, Ngannou is keeping an eye out for opportunities in boxing as well.
“Yes, I would have a boxing match. Whoever is possible and whenever is possible,” Ngannou said. “The top heavyweights. I am always confident in my power. I have no doubts about my power.”

The UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic is expected to defend his title against Daniel Cormier next. However, the former has expressed his inability to properly train in the pandemic since he is a first responder. The UFC can either strip him or arrange an interim title fight between Francis Ngannou and Daniel Cormier.
On the other hand, Dillian Whyte is currently waiting for a finalized date and location for his showdown with Alexander Povetkin. Had it not been for the Coronavirus, the fight would have taken place this month. However, there has been no news as of now when the fight will take place.
