Ahead of this weekend’s UFC card, UFC strawweight, Angela Hill discussed several topics with reporters. These included the most recent UFC 253 main event between Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa and Colby Covington’s antics from UFC Fight Night 178.
UFC 253 was one of the most highly anticipated cards of the year. UFC President Dana White even said that the main event title fight would be the Fight of the Year. However, it ended up being one-sided domination from the champion Adesanya.

When pressed on her opinion about Stylebender’s controversial celebration at the end, Hill responded, “That was funny. I mean, like why be mad about that. The dry humping, there wasn’t any penetration. He didn’t actually smack him with anything. It was miming, he was doing aggressive miming.”
Hill noted that the fight must have got to Adesanya mentally. She said, “I think he was excited and this fight really got to him mentally and had to dig deep into his zen state of mind and watch a lot of Naruto to really channel that inner ninja in him.”
While she thought that Adesanya’s choice of post-fight celebration was a bit disrespectful, she didn’t find it too out of line considering the tense buildup.
Angela Hill talks about Colby Covington
The UFC strawweight also touched upon Colby Covington. She spoke about people’s double standards and how they got up in arms every time ‘Chaos’ did something. Hill agreed with Covington and said, “Oh yeah, I feel like there’s always going to be that group of people who are mad at one group of people but not mad at another. I think people need to lighten up.”

Apart from being part of the UFC roster, Hill is also an analyst for the company. She recently fought in September in a close split decision loss to Michelle Waterson and believes the fight should have gone her way.
The fighter ended by hinting at her next fight. She revealed that it would not be a short notice bout on Fight Island. What do you make of ‘Overkill’ Hill’s comments? Who do you see her fighting next?
