A fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Georges St-Pierre is always a hot potato in the UFC. The media has linked the pair to each other multiple times. However, Ali Abdelaziz, Khabib’s manager thinks GSP is very low on the Lightweight champ’s priority list.

Ali sat down and talked with Brett Okamoto of ESPN about Khabib vs St-Pierre. Abdelaziz is also the manager of Justin Gaethje. The latter is set to battle Tony Ferguson for the interim belt at 155-pounds. If he wins, Ali will have the privilege of representing both the interim and the actual champ of the division.

Speaking on Khabib vs GSP, Ali made it very clear that he respects St-Pierre. However, that doesn’t mean he will allow him to jump the line of competitors. Fighters like Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje will always have priority over “Rush” when it comes to fighting the Dagestani.

George is not in the conversation because there are a lot of guys before George. I would put George before Conor every day for me. But I’m not gonna put him before Justin or Tony. That would be disrespectful. And I don’t say that because Dustin is my client. George is not the guy who wants to disrespect other people.”

Ali is one of the best managers in the fight business. He narrated an incident about how he booked Bisping vs St-Pierre without being the manager of either of them. Part of the reason he is so good in his dealings is that he is always straightforward. He wishes to bring the same approach to the table when for GSP vs Khabib.

It’s simple. Call me. Make 155 pounds. Call Dana White. Dana loves Georges. He doesn’t love a lot of people, but he loves George,” Ali said about how a fight can be booked if GSP wants.

The difference in the weight classes of the two is one of the biggest deal-breakers. Even though they both walk around at around 185-pounds, Georges St Pierre has been a welterweight most of his life. At 38 years of age, GSP can still fight. But the same can’t be said about making the weight limit for a fight with Khabib.
