The UFC Is set to return on May 9th, with president Dana White promising a packed card. At the time of his announcement, a location was not confirmed. However, White announced on Tuesday that the event will be held at the Apex training facility in Las Vegas.

“UFC fights will be produced out of there starting next month”- Dana White
“Live fights will be produced out of there. We built the APEX facility next door just in time to save the day from this pandemic. Live fights will be produced out of there starting next month and for the foreseeable future.” Said Dana White
UFC 249 was set for April 18th, however, ESPN requested that the event be called off. Now that a location is confirmed, the next UFC card is packed with major title fights. The main event of the card features Justin Gaethje vs Tony Ferguson for the interim lightweight title. Gaethje stepped in on short notice after Khabib Nurmagomedov pulled out due to travel restrictions. The ill-fated match-up between Ferguson and Nurmagomedov witnessed a cancellation for the 5th time allowing Gaethje to step in for the biggest fight of his career.

Also, the bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo is set to defend his title against Dominick Cruz on the same card. Cejudo was slated to face Jose Aldo on May 9th, but the fight fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic. Cruz will be making his long-awaited return to the octagon after losing his title at UFC 207.”The lioness” Amanda Nunes will defend her title against Felicia Spencer.
The non-title fights include a clash between Francis Ngannou and Jair Rozenstruik in what is set to be a monumental fight between the two. Donald Cerrone will also be making his return to take on Anthony Pettis in a welterweight clash.
