A former UFC fighter recently posted debatable views about the WNBA player Brittney Griner. Griner’s situation remains a talking point in the sports world. Even the UFC world has reacted to the news of a WNBA player being detained in Russia.

From UFC color commentator Joe Rogan to former UFC athlete and military veteran Tim Kennedy, many have offered what they think of the situation. And now the ever-outspoken Kennedy made a questionable post on his Instagram handle about the WNBA player.
Kennedy posted a picture of Griner which had a caption that read, “140 DAYS, DRUG FREE”

The former UFC middleweight fighter captioned the post, “It’s amazing what getting sober can do to for someone.”
It was not the first time that the military veteran expressed his opinion about the 31-year-old Houston-born athlete. Earlier, also he publicly bashed her for ‘requesting that the national anthem not be played’ in 2020.

Griner, in a protest, kneeled during the US national anthem. Thus, Kennedy, a military veteran, recalled the moment a week back when the WNBA player was trending and criticized her in one of his Instagram posts.

The trending topic had a few UFC identities speaking their mind. While some commented on it publicly, others kept a close eye on what was happening as they responded to criticism towards Brittney Griner.
Recently, Jorge Masvidal went after LeBron James for his comments. Though James cleared it later and offered his words were misunderstood, Masvidal didn’t address it later.

Masvidal wasn’t the only UFC personality that bashed LeBron James. Tim Kennedy also took a shot at the LA Lakers star for the same comments. He offered, “perhaps we send him to Russia for a few months”
Even Ronda Rousey‘s ex-boyfriend & former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub took a shot at LeBron James for his comments in The Shop trailer. Schaub’s comment in an episode of The Fighter and the Kid podcast.
Besides these, the veteran voice of the UFC Joe Rogan labeled Griner as the ‘Clearest Form of Political Prisoner‘ during his conversation with Paul Virzi on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
