Joe Rogan talked about the origin of NASCAR on his famed Spotify podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. The UFC commentator is one of the most influential figures in the sports world. Besides, his show often produces some bizarre conversations. One such came when he sat down with comedian Tim Dillon. Both artists touched upon various subjects and came across the origin of NASCAR with a wild story.

On JRE podcast episode #1860, Rogan and Dillon were having a conversation about why alcohol becomes a ‘giant part’ of people’s life.
While discussing this, Rogan said, “That’s what NASCAR is… Moonshiners trying to get the f**k away from the cops and they souped up their cars. That’s the origin of NASCAR.”
“This is one of the most American things of all time. NASCAR is one of the most American things of all time if you look at its origins. Moonshine vehicles, wild southern boys, who is just going down dirt roads, sideways in a 69 charger,” added Rogan.
“That’s the genesis; That’s where it started from. Those crazy motherf**ers were running alcohol, getting away from cops in souped-up cars,” concluded Rogan.
The JRE host has previously talked about NASCAR on his podcast and compared it to F1.

The millionaire podcast host in one episode of the JRE podcast talked about the difference between the viewing experience of NASCAR and Formula 1.

Rogan said, “NASCAR is a weird one, right? Because it’s obviously fun to watch; it’s fun to be there. But it’s not as fun as Formula 1.”
Thereafter Rogan showed a clip of NASCAR and F1 vehicles from the same track to display the difference in speeds of vehicles in these two sports.
