Ever since his pro-MMA debut, Dominick Reyes has rightfully earned his nickname as “The Devastator.” He has been making a quick work of his opponents with his elite-level striking and brutal power. Reyes holds a perfect record of 12 wins with no losses with 7 of them coming via KO/TKO. He also has 2 submission wins on his résumé.
Reyes looks to be in his athletic prime. His last victim was Chris Weidman. Not only did Reyes knock Weidman out in the first round, but he did it spectacularly. The fight also allowed Reyes to display his defensive wrestling which was earlier considered as weakness after the Volkan Oezdemir fight.
The 30-year-old looks forward to adding the UFC Light heavyweight title to his inventory at UFC 247. In less than a week, he is set to face the reigning UFC Light heavyweight Champion Jon Jones who many consider as the greatest talent the UFC has ever seen. Jones has always been able to find a way to victory. Jones himself did not taste defeat since his disqualification against Matt Hamill. Since then, he has been on a tear, defeating everyone in his path.
