For ranked 5 featherweights, Zabit Magomedsharipov a win over Kattar might mean a title shot against the champion. However, it’s not going to be easy at all against Calvin Kattar who is on a roll at the moment. Other than one decision loss he has won all his last five fights. Magomedsharipov is dynamic and wild with an elite level of striking and wrestling and on the other hand, Kattar is a phenomenal boxer. So how would the fight between these two fighters go? UFC featherweight and former number one title contender, Brian Ortega is leaning towards the Russian on this one. Ortega said:

“It depends. Zabit is on a roll lately. he is very good. If he can get his cardio without falling cause Calvindoes turn it up and his power does not really decrease the rounds. So I am going with Zabit.

UFC lightweight, Felder also sides with Magomedsharipov on this one and said:

“Kattar got super super sharp boxing but I see the kicking and wrestling game going to Zabit”

UFC welterweight Stephen Thompson also believes Zabit will be too much for Calvin when he said:

“Zabit is very interesting. I like watching that guy fight. He is really thin but he will kick your butt. I got Zabit, I love watching him fight, he is very exciting.”

Kevin Lee also picks Zabit Magomedsharipov to get the job done against Calvin Kattar and he also believes that Zabit will have the home advantage on this one. 

“it’s in Russia. the Russians don’t really seem to be that phased by the hometown crowd. I think Zabit. He will show up.”

UFC lightweight, Dan Hooker predicted Calvin Kattar to win the fight:

“That is a much more difficult fight to pick apart. Calvin Kattar carries a lot of power. He is a very good boxer. I would lean towards Calvin on that one.”

James Vick also predicted Magomedsharipov to get the job done in the main event:

“I like Zabit. He is another one who is hard to bet against. He is very technical and just does not have a lot of holes in his game. His striking is phenomenal, his grappling is really good. I like Zabit.”

Apart from Zabit Magomedsharipov vs Calvin Kattar in the main event, Greg Hardy takes on Alexander Volkov in the co-main event.
