UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo had much more at stake when he entered the Octagon at UFC Vegas 73. The welterweight fighter barely had the money to keep himself afloat when he flew to the USA. His most incredible backstory of how he took refuge in the sport of MMA and then came to the country with meager 7 dollars and 49 cents will inspire people throughout the world. His story of torn pockets with only $7 in his hands is analogous to the star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who also made it big despite having the same bank amount.

When the former WWE star first heard of the Zimbabwean fighter’s story of grits, he resonated and empathized with it. Therefore, he extended his helping hand to Gorimbo whose UFC story deeply touched him. In response, the UFC fighter vowed to chase the American dream and never give up on himself.
