It is not an unknown fact that Joe Rogan has ventured into many professional endeavors in his career. Despite being known for his commentating role in the UFC and his work as a podcast host and comedian, the 56-year-old also hosted a reality TV show called ‘Fear Factor’. But things took a turn for the worse during his time on the show when he got into a fight with a contestant. Former WWE champion, The Miz, opened up about the incident months back during an interview with ‘The Schmo‘.

Reality TV shows are meant for viewers to witness drama between the contestants and the other personalities who appear on the show. Hence, it was no surprise when Joe Rogan had his fair share of drama with a contestant on ‘Fear Factor’. Let’s see what The Miz had to say about that instance.

The Miz “vividly” remembers what transpired on ‘Fear Factor’

‘The Miz’, who was a contestant on ‘Fear Factor’, once appeared in an interview with ‘The Schmo’ earlier this year. He was asked whether he recalled what transpired during the infamous 6th season scuffle between Joe Rogan and a contestant, to which he said yes. The Miz said, “I remember that [fight] vividly till this day.”

The 42-year-old WWE superstar mentioned that he was a part of that season of the show, which involved all celebrities as contestants. “I was doing Celebrity Fear Factor. It was, I believe an amazing race. It was like, a real-world Amazing Race Survivor,” The Miz further stated. However, things soon took a turn for the worse.

During the 10th episode of the season, one of the contestant’s partners shoved Jonny Fairplay, who was also a contestant, due to him having too much fun on their failed attempt at a challenge. The Miz added, “I remember all of a sudden, out of nowhere, this guy I think shoves Johnny Fairplay, who’s having fun. Like, it was all fun and jest.” Apparently, Joe Rogan wasn’t a fan of the contestant getting physical. Thereafter, things even got more physical.

The Miz thought Joe Rogan would have done a number on the contestant

Reality show contestants often get heated during times of competition and launch verbal attacks on their fellow opponents. However, the hosts and makers of the shows do not condone any form of physical violence. This is why Joe Rogan intervened and warned the contestant, but her husband did not listen to what the 56-year-old had to say. The Miz continued, “Then Joe was like, ‘You can’t do that’, and then the guy was like, ‘You can’t tell me what to do.'”

The verbal showdown resulted in Joe Rogan getting confronted by the contestant. But after a few seconds, the UFC commentator grabbed the contestant by his neck and The Miz thought Rogan could seriously injure him. As such, he went out of his way to break things up. “Joe doesn’t like that, and I literally thought Joe was going to kill him… I tried to separate them as much as I could, but it was interesting,” the former WWE champion added.

Joe Rogan hosted more than 150 episodes of ‘Fear Factor’. However, such an incident occurred only once. However, the 56-year-old’s days as a reality TV show host may be long gone since he’s found tremendous success with the multi-million-dollar ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast.
