Simone Biles, a 4 time Olympic Gold Winner American gymnast, had decided to pull out from the team finals of the all-around contest in the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

Biles stated that she wasn’t in the right frame of mind to compete. Despite receiving support from the official body of gymnastics in the US, ‘U.S.A. Gymnastics’, Biles was still criticized by a number of her own countrymen.

Ronda Rousey took a hand at everyone condemning Biles Simone’s withdrawal

Rousey, a known enthusiast of mental health improvement, fired shots at the ones who mocked Biles. She implied that a person watching from the outside will never get to know what athletes go through.

‘Rowdy’ showcased full support in favor of Biles. She put out a tweet intending to silence every critic of Biles. Her 2021 tweet read, “Everyone judging @Simone_Biles doesnt know their foot from their a**hole when it comes to being in her position.Shes on the Olympic team while you’re on Twitter.Whatever is going on cannot be grasped from outside.She’s doing the absolute best she can given the situation she’s in.”

Rousey also implied that it was a heinous act to question the dedication of a 4 time Olympic Gold medalist. Her final sentence clarified this intention of her.

Rousey didn’t want anyone else to go through what she had experienced

Rousey was no stranger to mental health issues. She had also gone on record to state on record that there was a history of suicides in her family. She also stated, “My dad and his father both took their lives”.

It made her wonder why exactly speaking about mental health was such a big no-no to society.
