The tie between UFC and WWE is official under the banner of the TKO Group. The “sports juggernaut” as UFC President Dana White labeled the new partnership, started trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday morning. Thus, it ended the wait of almost six months for sports fans and ushered combat sports into a new era.

Notably, the UFC’s parent company, Endeavor, took the fans by surprise in April when it announced a merger with WWE. The deal, worth $21.4 billion, would serve a billion people. While a lot has been speculated since its declaration, one thing is certain: the fans would be the biggest winners, and it has one UFC veteran excited.

In addition, ‘DC’ wrote in the caption, “Big day for the UFC and WWE.” He also used a handshake emoji to suggest the new partnership. Interestingly, the fans could also gaze upon two giant championship belts in the backdrop, each from the promotion. Likewise, White also shared a snippet of the biggest day in UFC history.

As expected, murmurs of change were also floated as a few fans wondered what the new deal meant for the old guard. However, now it is confirmed that White will continue to serve as the UFC CEO. On the other hand, McMahon will serve as executive chairman of the TKO Group. But what are the changes that fans can anticipate? Are there any chances of a crossover?

While a crossover event would be the most exciting thing for fans, the chances of Conor McGregor walking down the ramp during WrestleMania 40 are rather slim. “There won’t really be any type of crossover,” White disclosed to the Associated Press.

However, some key changes will take place in the future in both organizations, as reported by Front Office Sports. The UFC’s current deal with ESPN will last until 2025, and the WWE’s similar deals with Fox and USA Network will run through 2024. Therefore, there is a chance that TKO Group might create a single streaming service for both organizations.
