The new mega deal between WWE and UFC’s parent company Endeavor has created excitement in the MMA world as well as the sports entertainment industry. One of the biggest deals ever, Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel promises huge success for the newly merged business. The dynamics of the day-to-day running of the company are still not known. Dana White and Vince McMahon are expected to be in control of their respective organizations.

There are certain sections of the community that are raising voices about the controversies related to the deal. An American sportswriter has spoken about the controversial bosses of the two major companies.

Dan Le Batard makes a controversial claim on the WWE-UFC deal

The former ESPN sportswriter has broken his silence on the merger. The American writer made a bold claim regarding the reason Endeavor was silent on Dana White’s controversy. Furthermore, he spoke about Vince McMahon’s controversy too in the podcast in The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.

Le Batard said, “I try to abstain from just the eviscerating of human character. Vince McMahon? Truly horrible…He’s back in power. He’s running WrestleMania.”.

Additionally, he continued, “But now you know why Endeavor didn’t comment on Dana White. Now you know. They couldn’t have two of them in a cage while the deal was being done. Because the deal wasn’t done yesterday.”

Le Batard also stated that the deal makers couldn’t afford to jeopardize the $9 billion deal. This statement comes after the giant deal was signed which saw WWE merged with UFC and Endeavor.

The former ESPN writer claimed that the merger will be a profitable one. However, there was a hint of taunt and sarcasm in his statements. He stated that the fighters and performers of UFC and WWE work hard “using their actual body”. Meanwhile, the bosses earn loads of money “without consequences”. 

He also called out the fans that are unbothered by what happens behind the scenes. Le Batard will be tuning in for the UFC 287 event in Miami on Saturday.

Stugotz also added his take, “What’s happening at the top of that company, and what the men at the top of that company are accused of doing, and how they cash in any way because there are no consequences for them. Whether it’s rape allegations or video of you hitting your wife in public.”
