This resulted in the creation of a major stir in the MMA world as the second-largest MMA promotion after UFC is about to be sold. A post on Reddit shared the tweet, “Paramount is looking to sell Bellator per WON”.
Fans voiced their opinion on the news. One fan commented, “Bellator’s roster is pretty decent, something is off about the quality of their shows though”.
Some fans wanted the owner and chairman of TruMedia Networks, Tony Khan, to buy Bellator MMA. They said, “Tony Khan will buy them in an “anything you can do, I can do better” scenario.”. Similarly, another fan added, “Tony Kahn gotta step up.”
One Reddit user also said, “I wonder if Bellator is even worth 9 figures ($100mil+) at this point”
A few internet users added their suggestions such as:
“Bellator and PFL should merge under espn, then espn can let ufc go and focus on growing the competitor.”
“The UFC should buy Bellator and take their fighters like they did to Strikeforce.”
“It would honestly be cool if ONE could afford to purchase Bellator to expand in the US market more…but I understand the logistics would make it very hard to purchase and merge… EDIT: Disclaimer: this is just an opinion of mine…I do not want to argue or debate about this…“
Fans seemed disappointed by Showtime in the management of Bellator MMA

I hope someone picks them up. It's nice to have MMA I don't feel icky about watching. But Showtime hasn't been the boon for them I thought it would be.
