Dillon Danis lost to Logan Paul in their boxing match despite promising a knockout. The two men had engaged in a heated feud to build up hype for their fight. Despite their pre-fight claims of wanting to hurt each other, the fight ended up hurting the sport of boxing instead. Danis barely threw any punches during the fight. Moreover, he ended up getting disqualified for attempting a guillotine choke on Paul!

In fact, Danis might have caused more damage to Paul during a pre-fight altercation than he did in the actual fight. Recently, a video of Paul getting slapped by Rey Mysterio during a WWE event has drawn comments by Danis. And the MMA fighter was quick to remind Paul of their past feud. The clip also showed Rey Mysterio hitting Paul with a heavy dose of Déjà vu!

Logan Paul is no stranger to mishaps happening at his weigh-ins. Ahead of his match at WWE Crown Jewel, Paul and his opponent, Rey Mysterio took part in an official weigh-in ceremony. The event was part of the Smackdown broadcast for the night.

The video clip which has been making rounds on the internet shows Paul squaring off against Mysterio who is holding a microphone. Mysterio first slaps Paul in the face which caused the WWE star to lunge at him in retaliation. But Mysterio then actually hits him with the microphone causing Paul to fall back. It’s unclear if he reacted to the pain or the shock of getting hit by a microphone again!

Dillon Danis commented on the video on Twitter/X in his trademark fashion. He stated, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”.

His comments refer to the incident that occurred between him and Paul during a pre-fight event ahead of their October 14 clash in the boxing ring. The two men were about to face off to end the press conference.

However, Danis threw a microphone at Paul and hit him square in the face causing a cut to open up. Security quickly stepped in to separate the two men but the damage had already been done. The remarks by Danis may have incensed Paul but so far there has been no response from the WWE star’s side.

But regardless of his online trolling, Danis may be looking to make a return to his MMA roots. Recently he shared an interesting update regarding the UFC and Dana White!
