Despite the delay in the Michael Chandler fight announcement, Conor McGregor is focused on his UFC return. The Irishman recently greeted fans outside his hotel and addressed some of their queries. Interestingly, he snubbed UFC’s recently acquired sibling, WWE during this short interaction.

After being out of action for nearly two years, Conor McGregor is targeting a UFC return later this year. He has already completed filming season 31 of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ against prospective opponent Michael Chandler. The show has currently aired three episodes and yet there’s no date for their clash. With the clock counting down on McGregor’s window for USADA entry to be eligible to fight in 2023, many are skeptical they will see him return this year.

‘The Notorious’ met some of his fans outside his hotel recently. Before going in, the former UFC double champion signed autographs and answered some questions from his supporters.

McGregor faced questions about new acting ventures and he replied, “Fighting. Fighting. We’ll see what happens.” Another fan asked about him going to the WWE and ‘Mystic Mac’ said, “No. Not really.”

This resounding ‘No’ from the Irishman is surprising, considering he has teased going to the WWE several times in the past. He even engaged in a spat with Paul Heyman during the merger and tweeted “Careful Grampa. I’ll show up and break your jaw in 3 places.”

Israel Adesanya talks WWE move

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya recently found himself in a back-and-forth with the WWE universe after Paul Heyman publicly taunted him. Prior to ‘Stylebender’s appearance on a recent episode of ‘The MMA Hour’, ‘The wise man’ asked him to publicly acknowledge ‘The Tribal Chief’, Roman Reigns.

This unprovoked jibe from Heyman had Adesanya surprised on the show where he first heard about it. The 33-year-old jokingly gave a WWE-style response to Heyman but stated his interest to appear in the promotion. While McGregor may not be interested in the WWE at the moment, Adesanya is open to a cameo. Do you think we could see some crossovers now that the promotions are both under Endeavor?
