Conor McGregor recently mentioned that he was going to come back on June 29 and fight Michael Chandler. However, Chael Sonnen appears to be doubtful about this since the Irishman’s return has been looming in uncertainty. He said, “I just got done telling you that Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler for June 29th at International Fight Week. How do you know?” Furthermore, ‘The American Gangster’ also pointed out that McGregor had talked about fighting former 8-division champion Manny Pacquiao in a boxing match prior to his news about the Michael Chandler fight.

“If your only source is Conor McGregor, the same person, four days prior to that, was caught on video saying that he was going to box Manny Pacquiao,” Chael Sonnen further stated. In addition to that, the MMA legend also mentioned that McGregor making his return in a middleweight bout could be a lie as well. Sonnen added, “Conor McGregor, who within the same piece told a lie, which is that it’s going to be 185 pounds.” Although Conor McGregor has announced his comeback, we are yet to get an official confirmation on that front.

Joe Rogan is all praises for Brock Lesnar

Longtime UFC commentator has had the privilege of interviewing many athletes on his podcast. However, there is one specific athlete that he recently sang praises for, and that’s Brock Lesnar. During a recent edition of the JRE podcast, Rogan talked about professional wrestlers with guest Tony Hinchcliffe. While talking about the earliest days of wrestling, the 56-year-old brought up Brock Lesnar’s name, praising him for his amazing physical build.

“Brock is the only guy who’s like a killer. Well, even Alexander Karelin, who’s great, wasn’t built like a bodybuilder,” said Joe Rogan. This was not the first time that the JRE host had talked about Brock Lesnar. Rogan has also praised the former UFC and WWE champion’s athletic ability. It seems like the UFC color commentator is one of many people on whom Lesnar has left a strong impression.

Tom Aspinall is not a fan of Stipe Miocic getting a title shot

Interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall recently sounded off his frustration over the heavyweight title picture on social media. He mentioned Stipe Miocic getting a chance to fight for the undisputed title ahead of him. Aspinall was upset about that fact. Nevertheless, he had all the respect for Miocic for what he’d accomplished in his career.

“He will fight next for the undisputed heavyweight title, ahead of me, who’s the interim champ, active and ranked #1 in the world right now. This makes me upset. Stipe is one of my favorites. Loads of respect to him his resume is far superior to mine rn,” said Tom Aspinall. He made a case for himself, who’s on the top in the rankings and has proved to be the best in the heavyweight division, should be fighting for the title.

“It’s about who’s the best right now, and I believe that’s me and it’s only right I get to prove it,” Aspinall added. Dana White is fixated on the plans for a match between Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones. However, it remains to be seen if he will respond to these claims made by the interim heavyweight champion.
