Will Conor McGregor make his return in December?

There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Conor McGregor’s plans for a December return. Amidst his USADA exclusion, ‘The Notorious’ even sent a plea to Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel to help him make his comeback in 2023 possible. He previously said that his fight against Michael Chandler didn’t look like it was going to happen. However, in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the Irishman confirmed that talks of a return at UFC 296 could be a possibility.

McGregor tweeted: “December is back on the table!” He has reassured his fans and followers on social media that he might come back in the last pay-per-view of the year. After claiming that he was being kept from his livelihood, the former double champion looks set to make his return to Octagon. However, there is no official report or announcement as of now and we will have to wait until the UFC makes it official.

Mayra Bueno Silva tests positive in a drug test

The UFC’s female bantamweight contender shared the news on her Instagram handle that she failed a drug test. The test was held before her fight against Holly Holm last month. Silva assured her fans that she has never tried to take any banned substances or enhancement drugs in her life. Moreover, she blamed the failed drug test on her prescribed medication.

Silva claimed that the failed drug test found a substance that was consistent with the prescribed medication she takes for her ADHD. Furthermore, she has been dealing with this illness her entire life, which has had a variety of effects on her quality of life.

Mayra Bueno Silva even presented a few documents to USADA and explained the extent of her ADHD and the effects of it on her daily life. The bantamweight fighter acknowledged that the substance she was caught for was indeed present in her body. Silva even stopped taking those medications during the fight week.

Dana White talks about Ronda Rousey returning to the UFC

The 2023 edition of WWE’s ‘SummerSlam’ premium live event saw Ronda Rousey compete against former UFC fighter Shayna Baszler. She lost the match and subsequently left the promotion. This gave rise to speculation that she might make a comeback to the Octagon at UFC 300. However, Dana White was quick to shut down that possibility.

In an interview with ‘Sports Illustrated’, the UFC president mentioned that there is no need for Ronda Rousey to come back and fight in the UFC. She has already accomplished a lot, which made her the first woman to enter the Hall of Fame. White said, “There’s no shot. She accomplished everything she set out to do.”

It remains to be seen what decision Rousey takes after her WWE departure since we are yet to hear from her regarding this matter.
