Prime, Logan Paul, and KSI’s sports drink creation has been climbing the stairs of success very rapidly. Recently, Logan Paul and Dana White announced Prime’s association with UFC as the MMA promotion’s official sports drink. While some fans had positive things to say about this association, others had an unpleasant reaction to it.

Prime Hydration was launched on 4th January 2022 by YouTubers Logan Paul & KSI, who started off as in-ring rivals. But they decided to throw the animosity out of the window and started working together as partners.

Paul recently had the legendary UFC announcer Bruce Buffer on his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast. It was here that he revealed the actual story behind how they managed to crack this deal with the UFC.

Logan Paul: His initial reasons behind sponsoring UFC

In the latter part of the podcast, Logan Paul revealed the exact story behind his big sponsorship deal with the promotion. According to Paul, he and his partner were only looking to sponsor one event in February in Perth. The reason behind this one-event sponsorship was to promote the launch of Prime in Australia.

But soon, they got to know that UFC’s contract with its then-existing official sports drink partner was expiring. After knowing this, Paul’s partner contacted him, asking if they should consider becoming the new official sports drink of the UFC. Logan Paul responded by saying – “If … (Prime) becomes the official sports drink, the fuel of my favorite sports organization (UFC), that is a dream come true.

Thus, this deal also completed the older Paul’s biggest dream of being associated with the UFC.

The most popular voice of UFC, Bruce Buffer, had only positive things to say about this deal. “I am so proud of you, it’s so awesome,” said Buffer when Paul initially talked about Prime being the new official sports drink of the UFC.
