WWE’s Paul Heyman has a not-so-flattering message for UFC champion Israel Adesanya. ‘The wise man’ shared the same via his social media, addressing the host of Adesanya’s upcoming interview.

The worlds of WWE and UFC have collided several times in the past. From stars of both franchises crossing over to the other and Conor McGregor picking a beef with the entire WWE, to the recent acquisition of WWE by UFC’s parent company Endeavor.

Stars like Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar have earned enormous success under both banners. Therefore, questions about stars crossing over between the two promotions gained traction following the merger. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was one star who had expressed such a desire.

However, popular WWE figure Paul Heyman had a message for Adesanya before the UFC star attempts a venture into the WWE universe.

Paul Heyman’s message to Israel Adesanya

Prominent MMA analyst Ariel Helwani recently announced on Instagram that Israel Adesanya would be joining him in the studio for the next episode of ‘The MMA Hour.’ Helwani has hosted Adesanya and Heyman in the studio on ‘The MMA Hour’ on multiple occasions.

Heyman shared Helwani’s post to his IG story and wrote, “While this great champion is in your studio tomorrow, please be sure to have him ACKNOWLEDGE THE TRIBAL CHIEF!” Heyman was, of course, referring to his client and current WWE Universal champion, Roman Reigns. ‘The wise man’ signed off the message saying, “Respectfully, Paul Heyman. wise man and special counsel.”

‘The Tribal Chief’ is still in his 1000+ days title reign, with the counsel of Heyman. Heyman did not pass up an opportunity to hype up his client and get the fans talking.

Given Helwani also does extensive coverage of the WWE, fans can expect a conversation about Heyman’s message during Adesanya’s appearance on the show.

The 34-year-old had once hinted at his interest in joining the WWE and mentioned his childhood interest in their shows.

What did Adesanya say about joining the WWE?

In an interview he gave to BT Sport in 2022, Israel Adesanya explained his interest in WWE. Adesanya was talking to Caroline Pearce of BT Sport after defeating Jared Cannonier at UFC 276. ‘Izzy’ had used WWE legend ‘The Undertaker’s theme for his entrance that night with WWE figures like Triple H and the MacMahon family in attendance.

‘Stylebender’ said, “Definitely that’s something I’ll try my hand at later on, just for fun. I’m not saying it’s going to be a full-time job but I’m definitely going to be jumping in the WWE or something along that line, just for the entertainment factor. I grew up jumping off the couch, broke my arm doing shooting stars.”
