Former UFC fighter Ronda Rousey had an incredible MMA career. She went undefeated until she faced Holly Holm (UFC 193) and Amanda Nunes (UFC 207). After facing two losses via T/KO, Rousey decided to retire from the sport.

However, that has not stopped fighters like Julianna Peña from calling her out. Rousey, who is now 35 years old and enjoying her role as a mother, recently appeared on ‘The Kurt Angle Show’. She spoke about her hypothetical return to MMA and named one person she would come back for.
‘Rowdy’ said, “There’s only one person I would come back for. … For Gina, man. Gina Carano. She’s the reason why I got into fighting. She’s the reason why I knew it was a possibility. I will always be forever grateful…”
“And if she ever was like, ‘Ronda, I want to fight you tomorrow what, you know, 205 pounds’, like whatever the hell you want. I’m not saying she’s 205 pounds…”

“If she wanted to come into my backyard and do like you know, the Rocky thing or you know, ding ding and we just do it in the backyard, I don’t care. I will fight Gina wherever she wants.”
Rousey further clarified she has the utmost respect for Carano. She said, “I love her. Thank you, Gina, for everything you’ve done.”
When further asked which was a bigger accomplishment between earning an Olympic Gold medal and becoming a UFC champion, Rousey was quick to answer. As per her, winning the women’s bantamweight championship was a bigger accomplishment. This is because there were several more aspects involved in it.

Further in the conversation, Rousey revealed that Carano had made six figures in one of her fights. Hence, Rousey too felt she could do the same. In fact, she didn’t know MMA could be quite lucrative. As a result, making six figures through fights was a big deal for Rousey.
Post retiring from the UFC, ‘Rowdy’ made her way to the WWE and appeared at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Hence, fans got to see her extend her career in combat sports.
