Former WWE star, Dwayne ‘The Rock’Johnson and Chael Sonnen are known to have diverging opinions. They are not known to be the best of buddies. In previous videos, Sonnen has alleged that ‘The Rock’ consumed steroids, despite the WWE Hall of Famer’s denial. Regardless, during a recent escapade, for a change, Sonnen has taken a refreshing approach and thanked ‘The Rock.’

Chael Sonnen retired from UFC in 2014, concluding his impactful career. What’s not widely known is that ‘The Rock’ sent him a personal message on that significant day.͏ Sonnen recently decided to share this ͏hidden detail, adding a unique touch to his retirement st͏ory.

Dwayne Johnson’s heartfelt message to Chael Sonnen

Chael Sonnen’s UFC career was filled with tough spots. His trash talking along with his rivalry is one of the most noteworthy things of his career. His retirement was tough, however, Sonnen left fighting but fighting never left the “American Gangster’. Sonnen came back to the promotion as an analyst and since then has been under the UFC’s banner.

In his most recent escapade, Sonnen praised ‘The Rock’. “I find myself, when I speak about The Rock, not being all Moonlight and canoes. I’ve got to tell you, I love The Rock. I’m a very big fan. I’ve never met him, and I would love to meet him, but I’ve communicated with him. We know the same people. He sent me messages, or I sent one back,” said Sonnen.

‘The American Gangster’ further revealed a rather unknown heartfelt gesture by Dwyane Johnson for him. In the YouTube video, Sonnen explained that ‘The Rock’ messaged him on the day of his retirement and applauded his career. He said “He personally wrote me a very beautiful message the night I retired. I didn’t know how direct messaging worked, so I didn’t get it for much time. So, I never thanked him for things like this, but he was very beautiful and let me know that he enjoyed my work as a commentator. Just wanted to share this.

Sonnen was rather emotional when he revealed this. We might witness a meetup between Sonnen and ‘The Rock’ soon but let me remind you about the time when Sonnen accused Dwyane Johnson of consuming steroids.

Sonnen compared ‘Liver King’ with ‘The Rock’

Sonnen dropped a video on his YouTube channel, diving deep into what he sees as some inconsistencies in Dwayne Johnson’s comments on using steroids. Sonnen doesn’t buy into ‘The Rock”s denials and questions the credibility of both Johnson and his family. “Steroids, which is something ‘The Rock’ has denied. His father denied it, his uncles denied it, and the whole family denied it.” said Sonnen.

He further added, “It’s one of those things…in all fairness, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal if you weren’t out there telling people about nutrition and telling people about your diet, telling people about your workouts.As soon as you start doing that and try to influence and motivate and bring people along the journey you lie to them about the journey, right? I mean, he’s Liver King. You’re Liver King all over again. It’s the exact same thing.”
