While everything about the show sounds exhilarating on paper, Rousey recently revealed the downside of shooting for ‘Stars on Mars’.

The former UFC champion exclusively spilled the beans to PEOPLE during her Stars on Mars preview event on Thursday. In doing so, the spirited athlete couldn’t help but shower praise on her daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, who will be turning two this September.
As a mother, Rousey openly acknowledged and shared the difficulties she encountered while shooting the show. She confessed, “That was the most challenging thing, just being away from my baby.”

The 36-year-old elaborated on her struggle, expressing, “I had a really hard time being away from her, and she was only 1½ when I was gone. It’s the cutest age and everything like that.“
As she continued, ‘Rowdy’ revealed the emotional toll it took on her. The WWE star said, “I was having a better and better experience, that I felt worse and worse about being away from her… And so, the mom guilt was compounding by the day, and I think that was more difficult than any part of the experience itself.”

As for ‘Stars on Mars,’ the highly anticipated show will blast off and make its premiere on Fox on June 5, captivating audiences with its unique concept and celebrity contestants.
