Hulk Hogan has smacked several opponents in the wrestling ring, but he also once made Sylvester Stallone kiss his boots. The WWE star who helped make WWE a household name is also a Rocky franchise fan. He had his fateful meeting with the Rocky lead actor, and that led to two amusing events: one was Stallone leaving the ring with a bloody lip.

Notably, the 70-year-old recalled his meeting with Stallone when he sat down with Joe Rogan on his popular podcast. The American wrestler remembered being on cloud nine when he got a call to shoot a scene with Stallone. But when the two got into action, the Hollywood star was adamant about getting hit harder. Despite Hogan’s reluctance, Stallone persisted and asked him to “give me everything you have”.

The WWE Hall of Fame inductee told the color commentator in Ep. #2024 of JRE that when Stallone went to hit him, he just grabbed him. Hogan narrated, “I said, I don’t want to hit you. He [Sylvester Stallone] goes, ‘Well, hit me, give me everything you have’.”

“If I hit you as hard as I can, it’s not going to be cool. He goes, ‘Well, give me 50% of it’. “I really don’t want to,” Hogan said. “Because they were filming this whole thing. So I said, ‘Well, if you try to hit me, I’ll grab you. I’ll bend you over, and I’ll hammer you between the shoulders’.”

Following this, the professional wrestler gave Stallone a taste of his power, and the American actor hit his cowboy boots as he made the contact. He said, “I hit him. I probably gave him 50%, and [as] soon as I made contact, his face hit my cowboy boots, and he came up and his lip was bleeding. ‘That’s perfect. That’s perfect’. So he was all excited, you know, just because I hit him.”

This scenario unfolded in Hogan’s favor, as Stallone thought of a better use of Hogan’s popularity and his fighting acumen. Stallone offered the Augusta native his first shot at the silver screen and a chance to appear in the Rocky franchise. However, there was one person who wasn’t impressed with how the negotiations turned out.

Stallone’s negotiation tactics with Hogan upsets Joe Rogan

Hogan pointed out that he wanted $15,000 for his appearance in Rocky 3, but he settled for $14,000. When Rogan heard it, he was not pleased.

The famed podcaster then asked whether the Rambo star “bargained” with Hogan. Further, he said, “What the f*ck, Sly? You’re stealing.” Meanwhile, Hogan was happy with the opportunity, and his appearance in Rocky 3 paved the way for his successful stint in Hollywood. Even earning him another nickname, ‘Hollywood Hogan’. Hogan has appeared in almost 14 Hollywood movies and numerous TV shows since then.
