The combat sports world bid a heartfelt goodbye to the famed founder of the WWE, Vince McMahon in July last year as he declared his retirement from the organization. The ’77-year-old’ had been the head honcho of the biggest wrestling promotion in the world for an insane 40 years. But in a shocking twist, he returned to the company earlier this year intending to sell his brainchild and now it has finally happened.
Recently, the UFC and WWE fans might have been a bit startled after it was revealed that the UFC’s parent company, ‘Endeavor’ had bought 51% shares of the WWE. It was also revealed that the Ari Emmanuel-owned company would be merging the WWE and UFC to form an entirely new combat sports and entertainment promotion. Fans of both UFC and WWE therefore, view the possibility of the most influential combat sports head honchos working together.
Hence, we go down memory lane to a one-year-old interview where White was asked by one of the reporters to share some of his experiences regarding McMahon. It might give the fans an understanding of how things might look if they come together.

Dana White had a bagful of stories about Vince McMahon
The inquisitive reporter who wanted to know about some White-McMahon stories stated, “Your buddy, Vince McMahon retired the other day. Just curious to know your thoughts and any wacky stories with a guy like Vince.”
Apparently, the UFC supremo had numerous stories about the former WWE boss. He began with, “I can tell you stories of Vince for days”. But, he started off by showcasing his appreciation towards the WWE boss. White stated, “What that guy has built and what he’s done is incredible. He’s been doing it for 50+ years. I watched that stuff as a kid. And to still be here and do it now, he’s phenomenal.

White went on, “He’s a killer. He’s buried the hatchet in my back a few times, but that’s what you’re dealing with. You don’t deal with a killer and not expect him to try to kill you”. A lot of WWE and combat sports fans might know about the bossy nature of ‘Mr. McMahon’.
He has been in the headlines a number of times for some ruthless decisions in the WWE. Hence, a lot might relate to White words quite well.
Dana White’s story revealed his differences with Vince McMahon
White mentioned how the former WWE supremo had treated him while he went to watch WrestleMania 34. He revealed the former UFC Female Bantamweight Champion, Ronda Rousey had invited her to be a part of the event. But, things turned out to be different from what White had expected. He initially revealed how it was a struggle for him to receive tickets to the event.
Further, White was allotted a pretty ordinary seat to view the event considering the noted personality he was. White described the people asked him, “Why are you sitting in these seats?”.

But, the UFC supremo also narrated how he had given Vince McMahon a guest’s treatment when they had visited the UFC 276 event. White stated, “I gave them much better seats than they gave me when I went to visit Ronda”. This incident might also be proof of the strictly business-minded nature of McMahon.
