The UFC 284 main card was a huge fight. Such was the magnitude of the clash of the champions that days after the fight, the results are still being discussed and debated. Fans have been divided in opinion about who was the winner of the war. While Islam Makhachev was unanimously decided by judges, fans and experts alike, have lauded Alexander Volkanovski for his effort. UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan had also voiced out in favor of the featherweight champ. ‘The Great’ has now found more support from the YouTubers turned boxers community.

Logan Paul and KSI were talking on Paul‘s podcast ‘IMPAULSIVE’ when they stumbled upon Alexander Volkanovski‘s loss at UFC 284. While KSI and other guests were of the opinion that ‘The Great’ had gone out of his comfort zone to go for the double championship quest. They also mentioned that ‘Volk’ had been robbed.

In episode 365 of ‘Impaulsive’ a question was asked to the guests. George Janko asked, I have a question for you boys since you guys are Fighters and Mike because you’re a risk taker uh yes today you guys said that um he was robbed would you rather win in the favor of the audience and not a belt or the belt and not the audience the Bell always because I would rather win in the eyes of the audience no you wouldn’t I swear.”

KSI and Logan Paul looked like they agreed with ‘Volk’ being robbed of a deserved victory. KSI looked utterly impressed by how Alexander Volkanovski risked a lot to fight Islam Makhachev. He said he, too, likes to challenge himself and go out of his comfort zone.

Controversies have marred Islam Makhachev vs Alexander Volkanovski. While the decision has raised many questions, the lightweight champ has now been accused of using IV for rehydration after the weigh-ins. Kiwi fighter Dan Hooker raised the allegations first and has found many backers. Fans shared a picture of an arm that was claimed to be the Russian’s and had marks at spots at could have been IV punctures.

While Islam Makhachev‘s manager has refuted the claims, the controversy has not died. The fight was of a huge magnitude, with a lot at stake. The lightweight championship and the top spot for the pound-for-pound fighter in the UFC were all up for taking. Makhachev retained his belt and ‘Volk’ retained his #1 pound-for-pound spot. The calls for a rematch have been heard and Alexander Volkanovski himself has himself asked for one.
