Brock Lesnar is one of the best and most popular combat sports athletes in history. He made waves first in the WWE and proved his mettle inside the octagon. Many people would think that an athlete of Brock Lesnar’s caliber would encourage his children to follow the same career path. However, this isn’t the case. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ recently revealed why he’s glad his children follow his wrestling footsteps.

Lesnar is a well-decorated wrestler. He amassed a record of 105 wins and 5 losses and became the NCAA heavyweight champion in 2000. Moreover, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ is also an NCAA two-time All-American. But these accolades do not recite his two sons to get into wrestling.

Brock Lesnar had a sit-down interview with UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier. People are well acquainted with the past rivalry between the two legends. However, they shared a very candid moment together as Cormier asked Lesnar whether his sons liked wrestling or not. The former WWE champion said, “No [they don’t wrestle]. I try to get them all, I tried to take them to wrestling, and they just didn’t [like it]. It wasn’t their thing.”

Lesnar mentioned that he brought his sons to wrestling events when they were very young. He said, “They were like five and six and I brought these little singlets out and they were like, ‘What is that? Is that a slingshot?” Brock Lesnar then mentioned his sons are into team sports and he is happy about that. “They’re hockey players. And honestly, for me, it’s great because I don’t think I could have spent another 20 years in a wrestling ring,” said Lesnar.

People may call the former WWE champion a ‘beast’, but he understands the brutality of the sport and is happy with the fact that his sons are playing hockey.
