Endeavor’s latest acquisition of WWE in a merger worth $21 billion has been the major talking point of wrestling and MMA fans over the last few days. This deal, most importantly, unites two of the largest organizations in professional wrestling and sports, opening up endless possibilities in terms of entertainment and value.

Speaking about entertainment, a former UFC fighter chimed in on the deal; making a rather astounding claim that could see MMA fans erupt if something of that sort could take place. With both WWE and the UFC now coming under the same parent organization, this former fighter played matchmaker by presenting a fight that some would consider ludicrous to an extent.

Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub weighed in on the developments in one of his videos on his YouTube channel. The 40-year-old, after learning about the new deal, went straight into match-making mode as he pointed out a couple of former UFC stars that are now a part of the WWE roster.

While doing so, Schaub also had the wild idea of presenting fans with the idea of Brock Lesnar squaring up against newly crowned heavyweight champ Jon Jones.

“You already have you know, Ronda Rousey’s over there, you have Brock over there. You don’t think Brock’s going to fight Jon Jones after this deal?” he questioned.

Would it be a great idea for a fight of such measure to be set up, especially considering Lesnar has been away from MMA for quite a while now? Schaub certainly feels so, and it was quite evident from his commentary on it.

The stand-up comedian even went on to claim that it would be easy to get both to sign up for the fight owing to the deal. “You don’t think Brock Lesnar’s gonna mosey on over endeavor owns both of them? Easy deal to get done,” he claimed.

Dana White earlier snubbed the idea of a Lesnar vs Jones fight

Despite Schaub’s claims, it all finally comes down to what the people involved want for themselves. Although Jon Jones did earlier express his wish to fight Lesnar due to the massive numbers that it would pull; UFC president Dana White had recently shut down the idea himself.

White, in an interview, had claimed that the WWE star and former UFC champ had no desire to step back in the cage again. The 53-year-old said this was because Lesnar has already experienced massive success both on and off the sport.

“…I don’t think Brock wants to fight anymore. Brock’s made a lot of money. He came into the UFC and won the heavyweight title. He’s got nothing left to prove. I don’t think he’d want to do it.” White had stated.
