The world’s biggest wrestling promotion, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is now under the control of the same company that owns the UFC. Many people thought earlier that Vince McMahon would be leaving the company after the sale. But Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel has confirmed that both McMahon and Dana White will be in control over their respective promotions.
According to CNBC, the Endeavor Group owns a 51 percent stake in the company and shareholders will have the remaining 49 percent. The deal of the UFC and WWE merger is valued at $21.4 billion ($12.1 billion for UFC and $9.3 billion for WWE). It has become one of the world’s biggest sports giants.

Sources claim that the Endeavor CEO has assured the people that Dana White and Vince McMahon will have complete control over their promotions. He said, “Dana’s got the say as it relates to the UFC, Vince as it relates to the WWE.” Emanuel added, “We have nothing to do with the creative process. That’s Vince’s and Dana’s situation.”

Emanuel stated that he wanted nothing to do with how UFC and WWE decide to go about things. He added, “I’ve got Vince McMahon, a visionary that sees around the corner. I’ve got Dana White and what we’ve built. That’s pretty unstoppable.” The Endeavor CEO is positive about becoming one publicly traded company.
Conor McGregor lauds at UFC’s official value
Conor McGregor is no stranger to social media. He recently tweeted a congratulatory message to the MMA outfit after news broke out about the Endeavor-WWE deal. He wrote: “Congrats to the [UFC] now worth a cool Proper $12bn. Wow! Endeavor bout to scoop the [WWE] now also. Incredible. What a powerhouse!”

McGregor also shared a couple of other tweets, mentioning that it thrilled him to learn that the total value of the deal was estimated at over $21 billion.

Besides the merger deal, UFC’s deal with ESPN for five years is set to expire in 2023. It has been the exclusive broadcaster of UFC events since 2019. On the other side, WWE’s deal with FOX and NBC Universal is also on the verge of expiration. We will have to wait and see how they approach these deals in the coming months.
