Conor McGregor might make a lot of money if he transitions to the WWE. For now, however, it looks like fans will have to be satisfied with him pulling a famous WWE move on Jake Gyllenhaal instead. McGregor has grandly announced his acting debut in ‘Road House’ and now, he’s got a new snap for everyone.

In a recent Instagram post, McGregor can be seen putting a hold on Jake Gyllenhaal which oddly resembles the RKO developed and made famous by Randy Orton, the WWE legend. Fans couldn’t help but notice how similar it looked to the former WWE champion’s signature move.

“The girl is mine, @jakegyllenhaal! She’s mine! @roadhousemovie out March 21st. This one’s for you, ladies 😜🥰 @mgmstudios @amazonstudios” McGregor captioned the post. Perhaps the caption intends to bring attention to the fact that both the actors have worked on a brilliant physique for the film, as is evident in all the posters and the trailer.

Either way, it wasn’t the physique that got the attention of WWE and the UFC fans. Some fans pointed out how McGregor should better utilize wrestling in his fight game when he does come back to the cage after years of rest and recovery.

McGregor is playing a bad guy in the film which isn’t much different from his usual in-cage persona. Fans also pointed out how perhaps he’s most comfortable being himself while performing for the camera. Here are some of their takes.

UFC and WWE fans could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Randy Orton is one of the biggest stars to grace the ring and while the wrestler didn’t really come down to the comment section to react, his fans along with McGregor’s left no stone unturned.

Some pointed out how McGregor is just being himself.

One fan had advice for McGregor’s return if he ever fights a wrestler again.

Conor McGregor is probably one of the richest (and reportedly the highest-paid) debutants in a Hollywood film. With this new venture, perhaps he’ll go further into the industry with his acting talent. However, most fans would want to see him back in the cage instead. Will he come back soon?
