However, the exact reasons behind ‘The Rock’s’ return remain a mystery, it is speculated that the ongoing strikes by WGA and SAG-AFTRA may have created a window in his busy schedule. How the UFC-WWE merger is set to change the fight game as we know it

In early 2023, WWE sent shockwaves through the sports world.  The wrestling promotion announced a merger with UFC’s parent company, Endeavor. This unprecedented move prompted widespread curiosity about the changes this union would bring. Now, the transformation is becoming clearer as both organizations have merged to create a unified colossal combat sports company.

This merger has skyrocketed the valuation of the newly formed entity to a staggering $21 billion. On September 12, 2023, key figures from WWE and UFC, including Ari Emanuel, Dana White, and Vince McMahon, rang the bell at the New York Stock Exchange, marking the entry of ‘TKO Group Holdings’ into the stock market.

According to reports, Endeavor, the parent company of the UFC, holds a 51% stake in ‘TKO Group Holdings.’ Vince McMahon, a wrestling legend, is expected to retain the majority of the remaining 49% of shares held by the WWE. Meanwhile, Dana White now carries the title of UFC CEO, with Ari Emanuel as CEO of TKO, and Mark Shapiro as president and COO of the newly formed conglomerate. Keeping that aside, it looks like ‘The Rock’s comeback to the WWE might just be the tip of the iceberg. Whatever the case, this definitely starts off things for the UFC-WWE merger on a good note.
