Arguably the greatest UFC fighter of all time, Khabib Nurmagomedov, is a former UFC lightweight champion who retired in 2020 and since has been a coach and promoter.
‘The Eagle’ last competed in the UFC back in October 2020, and defeated Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 to retain his title. Since then there have been speculations about whether Khabib Nurmagomedov will ever return to the Octagon. Nurmagomedov’s return seems dicey, but there are many other paths retired UFC fighters take. One of them is WWE.
Many wrestlers have transitioned between the two companies, most notably Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey. Both of whom have won championships on both platforms.

Is WWE the next move for Khabib Nurmagomedov?
Nurmagomedov is still a popular commodity in the combat sports business, ‘The Eagle’ is a brand and any platform would be lucky to have him. WWE is one of the most popular promotions in the world and has a worldwide audience. Hence, Nurmagomedov doing something with them would be beneficial for both parties.
During a recent interview, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager was talking about whether we could ever see ‘The Eagle’ compete in the WWE.
“Let’s be real. Any of these soft steroid freaks wanted to go ahead and have a wrestling match with Khabib, and they wanna get beat up for real. They know who they need to call. They need to call me,” he said in a chat with TMZSports.
Abdelaziz is pretty confident that Nurmagomedov would beat any WWE superstar he faces. “He’ll go there and he’ll smash John Cena’s face. No problem. You know this all this touchy stuff this is real, he’s gonna go there and smash somebody. You know he’s gonna smash somebody the way they look after he done with them, they never wanna wrestle again. They understand there’re different levels to it, he’s not gonna be a friend, joking, it’s gonna be real.”

Is a Nurmagomedov vs John Cena fight in the making?
Abdelaziz clearly believes that there is a difference in levels between the fighters of the two promotions. He is sure that his client would demolish anyone he steps in the ring with and specifically named the wrestling promotion’s biggest name of the last two decades.
