In the podcast, Rogan and Flair discussed a range of topics from MMA to pro-wrestling and even Flair’s personal life. However, one of the most interesting topics that they discussed was the crossover between pro wrestling and MMA.

Joe Rogan names fighters who transitioned from WWE to MMA

During the podcast, Rogan mentioned that there are very few pro wrestlers who have cross over to MMA. In the first thought, one can only name Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, which was also the case with Rogan.

“The crossover between MMA and UFC or UFC and pro wrestling. There are a lot of going who entertained it. Other that Ken Shamrock going from MMA to WWE, very few guys other than Brock and CM Punk, is there anybody else who did it?”

However, Rogan soon recalled two more big names that have fought in the realm of MMA. These wrestlers are Bobby Lashley and Batista.

“Bobby Lashley. Bobby Lashley fought a bunch of legitimate MMA fights. Batista did. Bastista had a real MMA fight. He won. It was not the most impressive fight, but he had a real fight”, Rogan said. It is noteworthy that Batista, also known as Dave Bautista played a character similar to Rogan in his recent move – Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Lashley has fought against some notable fighters, including Josh Appelt and James Thompson. He currently holds a 15-2 record and is also a former XFN heavyweight champion. Lashley also fought in Bellator 6 times, and remained undefeated.

Batista, on the other hand, had a short MMA career. He managed to win his only fight against Vince Lucero in 2012 via a first round TKO. The fight was not the most impressive one in terms of technical ability, but he managed to win a “real fight”, as Rogan describes it.
