Amid $100,000 Penalty Clause, Dillon Danis Reveals Why He Pulled Out of KSI Fight to Go Up Against Logan Paul

Dillon Danis has been savaging Logan Paul on social media. Over the past week, he has been relentlessly trolling his upcoming opponent in a way that some feel has gone too far. The primary target of his attack has been Paul’s fiancee Nina Agdal, and has bothered the WWE star so much that he has reportedly initiated legal action against Danis.

The two will face each other in a boxing match on the undercard of the KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight in Manchester, England on October 14. Danis appeared on the ‘Full Send’ podcast on YouTube and opened up on why he pulled out of the KSI fight and why he dislikes Logan Paul so much.

Dillon Danis reveals the reason he pulled out of the KSI fight

Dillon Danis was supposed to make his boxing debut against British Youtuber KSI in January this year but pulled out shortly before their bout. Fans accused him of chickening out and called him out as not a real fighter, a common criticism he faces due to having only 2 professional fights on his resume. This is why his contract with Paul has a $100,000 clause if he pulls out without a good reason. But, Danis revealed that one of the main reasons he pulled out of the KSI fight was due to his father’s death.

“I didn’t really care about KSI, so I wanted Logan from the beginning and Logan got hurt against Roman Reigns. That was our fight. And then we kind of just threw me into the KSI thing and then I was going through a lot of stuff with my dad passing and just a bunch of s**** and then they were putting so many stipulations on me. There’s a bunch of reasons but it’s just I don’t really give a s***,” he told the hosts.

Further, he was also unhappy with various clauses the YouTuber’s team imposed in the contract.

Danis speaks on why he doesn’t respect Logan or Jake Paul

The 29-year-old also paid Logan a compliment, calling him a much tougher fight compared to KSI, and complemented his athletic prowess. But, he went on to explain that he doesn’t respect either of the Paul brothers as they had been feuding with Danis for a long time.

“The thing with Logan though is that him and Logan and Jake we’ve been going at it for so long that it’s hard [to respect them]. Like you know I respect certain people like me and Nate [Diaz],” he said.

Dillon Danis is mostly famous for being a professional troll, and his conduct over the past week shows why. Whatever the result of the fight may be, one thing is clear. We haven’t seen this kind of scorched-earth take-no-prisoners approach to trolling since Danis’ training partner Conor McGregor‘s trash-talk of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
